For so many years as a health care professional, I wore cotton, washable, scrub like clothes. Earlier this year, just before my 67th birthday, I was diagnosed with PAD and had to have surgery for a blocked artery. The surgery was an apparent success; however, something went terribly wrong during the surgery and I left the hospital 6 days later – unable to walk at all on my own. Now, nearly 7 months later, I still have some debilitating effects from that surgery; the femoral nerve in my left leg was damaged so badly that I still have constant nerve pain, require daily pain medications, undergo physical therapy and must rely on using a walker – I have recently graduated to using a cane part-time. This entire experience has humbled me and made me realize how blessed I truly am even though I am no longer as physically able as I was prior to the surgery. I am blessed with a wonderful circle of “best friends” and family – and a wonderful group of co-workers (yes, I still work full-time and love it) – my friends and family have encouraged me every painful step of my recovery. And my husband, who recently had back surgery has been my solid supporter and the love of my life. No time so far to even think about a vacation, but I can fantasize about a dreamy spa vacation while clothed in Soft Surroundings! Thank you for such a great idea!

Like most of the entries, life hasn’t been especially kind these past few years. My husband has terminal Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, my elderly mother has several life-threatening illnesses, and we lost my beloved father to heart and lung disease a few years ago. I have helped care for all of them as a nurse and a family member. Now I am having health issues also. I lost my last nursing job for doing the right thing and being a “whistle-blower.” Money is very tight, and while I have filed a lawsuit, it will be years before it goes to court. However, the sun still rises, the seasons still come and go, and my grandchildren still grow up more everyday. Fortunately there is joy in everyone of those things. It would be wonderful to have an opportunity to have a chance to get away from the tough times and relax and enjoy myself for awhile, but, no more wonderful for me than for anyone of the other entrants. I would love a chance- just like them. Whoever gets it will be very fortunate! Just put my name in the hat, too! (What can I say about the clothes- they are delicious! Just a chance to win an outfit is too exciting! I would wear only Soft Surroundings clothes if I could afford only them! Unfortunately, I supplement with daily clothing from dime-store places, and they feel and wear like what they are. Ugh!)

I was just diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and was told I need to take all three treatments, I was not prepared for this news! Before treatment starts I really want to go on a trip, I need a break from all the busyiness that goes with a major illness. This California Spa Vacation would be a wonderful way to celebrate and embrace life. Please consider me as a candidate to win this trip.

I love Soft Surroundings! I get so excited when a new catalogue comes and even more excited when I have a little extra money and can order something, the clothes are just wonderful. I turned 60 this summer and have not been able to take a vacation in several years, a spa vcation plus the wardrobe would be almost more than this mother of 6 and grandmother of 5 could imagine. Thank you for suppling wonderful products for women, many who have spent most of their lives giving out to the people around them that they love.

I’m a single woman, very content with my life of 68 years. I spent 37 of my 40 years of working in psychiatric nursing. I hope many people may have benefitted in gaining some insight into their lives through this work. Now, I feel a great need for a time of rejuvenating myself. I have relatives in California’s wine country & would like to be able to extend my time to include a visit to them. Family is very important to me. Thanks for an opportunity to be refreshed. Knowing my life is to be used for service to others, facing the challenges of the process of aging are frightening. The physiological/anatomical changes sometimes affects the mental/emotional. Strenth in coping comes from my faith, but there aren’t many who are available for these last months or years. Seeking comforts comes not from things, looks, but the wonders of caring. The experience offered here could be a mood elevator for this seventy-four year old and her seventy-six year old husband who just on July 6 celebrated fifty-three years of wonderment together. Both know of pain and he seems to be better able to tolerate than I am.
Perhaps someone younger would have more reasons to be offered this opportunity, but none would enjoy it more.

I am a single retired person who could not retire because of the economy and I would absolutely love to be in some beautiful clothes from Soft Surroundings and have some time in California.
A woulr take one of my beautiful daughters and have a lovely vacation time with her!

Wow! After teaching for twenty eight years, then taking on a new career in a political office that keeps me involved 24/7, I could use that dream vacation! The shopping spree would be a dream come true. The photos in the Soft Surroundings catalogs that have featured tropical homes have always been an inspiration to me because that is precisely the atmosphere I’d like to create in my home. Even though I have not ordered anything, I love having the catalogs to browse through because of the relaxing feeling they inspire. Dressing in Soft Surroundings clothing and having many of the home decor items would truly feel like a reward for years of dedication to my family and to public service. I’m over 69 years young, still working part time and enjoying it very much. I keep busy, visiting my 96 years young father at his assisted living facility and my 11 grandchildren keep me busy. I love life but never seem to take the time for myself. This would be a dream come true for me! Others first seems to be my motto.

Ijust turned 56 two days ago and need to figure out how to relax and take care of me and this sounds like the perfect spot to learn how. My kids are all raised and have kids of their own so now I feel I can learn to relax and enjoy the “golden” years. I’ve never been to this type of spa but have always dreamed of it so I’m taking a chance.

I have had a wish list from SS since I discovered the clothes & products. The beauty and quality of everything I have bought is remarkable.But my priorities of raising children and supporting aging parents does not allow me the luxury of shopping often, or taking vacations. The spa vacation and a wardrobe from Soft Surroundings would be my dream come true, my hubby and I could take that honeymoon we never had after almost twenty years of marriage.

I’m wondering if others like me are going thru a mini-identity-crisis over how we should look. I feel too young for the short curly permed hair and non-revealing unfashionable clothes. A dream vacation has been on my wish list, with a complete rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit, for a long time. Working in the medical field often finds myself caring for others first and myself last. The idea of being pampered in beautiful surroundings with soothing, therapeutic massages is more than I can anticipate and more than my imagination can ever imagine. I know I would enjoy and savor every minute.

it’s been 1year that i and my hausband come to honey moon and we are still in honey moon it was my first trip to a foreign country and our first trip together(en couple) i found soft.S cloths very interesting and i really wish to buy some for my mome and my brother’s wife.
i live in paris and i don’t know how to buy these beautiful cloths always i can only watch them in my email but maybe this summer i would take a tripe to US and buy any thing that i can’t find in france

My husband and I took our first real vacation in 17 years (since our honeymoon)! We flew to Portland Oregon with a stop in Seattle. We visited the Mt St Helens site, some awe inspiring waterfalls and watched a glorious fireworks display on the Pacific Ocean while lying on our backs on the beach. Through it all I enjoyed it all while being comfortable and stylish. Soft surroundings clothing. Because of this vacation I realized that now I need a vacation from my vacation
