I’ve been a professional makeup artist over twenty years and have always been fascinated with how makeup transforms an actor’s face or body before camera. I was trained to work closely with our lighting director and cameraperson in achieving whatever effect was necessary for that day’s taping. It’s an interesting marriage, especially with respect to lighting because even if a brilliant makeup has been done (whether beauty or aging or prosthetics or fx) if the lighting doesn’t support the makeup technique, it doesn’t work.
The same is true in reverse. I’ve seen poorly executed makeup that has been saved by a brilliant lighting director.
Before the invention of High Definition TV, standard makeup tricks could be used to dramatically alter the shape and perception of an actor’s image before camera. The makeup techniques for sculpting a subject’s features would look terrible in real life, but magical before camera. Before HDTV, you could effectively remove pores, wrinkles, skin imperfections. The heavy, professional foundations worked wonders and the deep shading colors used could take off fifteen pounds and re-sculpt cheekbones, nose and jaw line. Then along came HDTV. Its super high resolution shows everything, including all sculpting techniques right down to revealing nose pores. Who wants to see pores on someone’s face? It’s distracting.
Suddenly, there was a technology that was in advance of our existing products and techniques in the makeup room. I had been combining certain ingredients to see if I could create something that would address this new, very real problem. I researched ingredients extensively to see which would reduce pore size, tighten skin surface, smooth all surface lines, plump, moisturize, fill in skin imperfections and grab the makeup onto the skin as well as be compatible with any existing skin product or cosmetic. I also needed something that would matte down all shine and could be used as an alternative to blotting powder, because after a long day’s taping, the powder becomes cakey, and now the HD cameras would show that as well. The camera hates shine because it makes everyone look greasy.
I started calling on laboratories. I contacted dozens and couldn’t find one that would allow me to develop my own product. They wanted to sell me their existing formulas to which I could add a few of my key ingredients. Finally, I found one wonderful group who was willing to work with me. I gave them my formula and ingredient ratio and they set to work. When the sample batch was delivered, I was amazed at how effective the product was. I had really done my homework and it paid off.
Because of the exclusive combination of ingredients, ONE has become a staple in any skin care regime. It was developed for immediate use before HDTV, but is also an anti-aging, restorative treatment for all skin types, ethnicities and gender.

A lifelong struggle with excessively dry skin has led me to try every face cream I can find. Truth be told many of them were downright useless, some adequate and a few genuinely helpful and this sounds like it would fall into the genuinely helpful slot with no problem and would love the opportunity to try it.
