Home GuyI work with my team to identify the best new home products available and bring them to our customers.  I also design the majority of our fashion bedding ensembles. Duvet cover designer is not a career most people would think of when setting their goals, but has proven to be an awfully nice place to be. All it took was a healthy dose of liberal arts classes, too many switched majors (for a couple of weeks I had a French major with an Art History minor), a varied background through all aspects of retail and an unhealthy fascination with fabric swatches. Also, I really, really like sleeping.

A good night’s sleep is the gift everyone needs. It makes you feel better, look better and maintain the energy you need to keep on top of your game – no matter how many demands are put on you. I can’t make anyone stop thinking about all of the things that happened today or that have to get done tomorrow, but I can offer a few suggestions. Get rid of the lights. That includes the alarm clock, the laptop, satellite or cable box – anything that’s glowing or flashing at you while you’re trying to fall asleep. Turn them off or turn them away from you. Stick to a bedtime – it’s a good habit and tells your mind that it should shut down for the night. Get really comfortable sheets and a blanket that you love. Going to bed should be a pure pleasure, not the last chore of the day. Love your bedroom, love your bedding and go to sleep already. As Scarlet so sagely reminds us, “Tomorrow is another day”.
